About Sam:

Sam Jones is multi-skilled within the media and performance industry working alongside many professional companies and events in the past. He is a skilled sound technician and cameraman providing sound for the late Colin Fry on his latest tours as well as filming and editing promotional material for shows and events for the "Partyman Company" based in Essex.

He has created his own DJ and entertainment businesses' which currently provides discos to schools and parties within his local area.

 

Branching out further into the music industry Sam created a music production company and agency signing and recording local artists so they can have their chance to see what it is like to be a recording artist. The company StereoRecords although a start-up company uses a recording studio that will allow songs and videos to be edited and promoted on social media.

Using his camera equipment and keen eye for detail Sam has been booked to record many events in the past from charity events to promotional material from businesses. Sam will follow the production process unto the end from the initial plans to the editing and converting of the HD videos.

Sam first started working behind the scenes at the age of 11 at his secondary school where he started out programming and running their Pearl lighting desk for Cabarets and events.
After 3 years of working on the lighting board he moved to using a follow spot for further cabarets and school concerts.

He now runs and looks after the Ellis Theatre within the Gateway Academy in the time when he is not in college.

 

His skills have most recently been used by The Backstage Centre working with a variety of musical artists and TV production companies. Most recently working as a runner and technician on a production with Channel 4.

Since leaving his school Sam now studies technical theatre at South Essex college and once he has finished his course he dreams of gaining a job within TV production as a cameraman or visual mixer.
